Creative Brief

This project was a creative exercise designed independently and is not affiliated with Blue Bottle Coffee. The objective was to reimagine the branding for Blue Bottle Coffee through a dynamic campaign that emphasizes sustainability, community, and premium quality. The project aimed to connect with eco-conscious coffee lovers and younger audiences who value authenticity and craft. The tone of the campaign was clean, approachable, and modern, aligning with Blue Bottle Coffee’s identity as a leader in specialty coffee.

Deliverables

Visual Identity Updates: Campaign assets aligned with Blue Bottle Coffee’s established brand identity, utilizing the existing logo, color palette, and typography while incorporating fresh creative approaches to reflect sustainability and community focus.

Packaging Design: Mock-ups of eco-friendly coffee bag designs featuring minimalist aesthetics and bold, clear labeling.

Social Media Campaign: Instagram carousel posts, stories, and promotional ads that highlight the brand’s commitment to eco-friendly practices and community connection.

Billboard and Print Concepts: Eye-catching, modern advertisements designed for urban environments, emphasizing premium quality and sustainability.

Campaign Goals and achievements

The campaign sought to elevate Blue Bottle Coffee’s visual presence while reinforcing its values of sustainability, craft, and community. By creating a cohesive brand narrative across packaging, digital media, and print, the project aimed to:

1. Engage eco-conscious consumers by highlighting sustainable practices through packaging design and campaign messaging.

2. Attract a younger audience with fresh, visually striking designs and engaging social media content.

3. Reinforce brand loyalty among current customers through storytelling and premium aesthetics.

My work achieved these goals by designing a campaign that seamlessly integrated eco-friendly messaging into the existing brand identity. Packaging designs communicated sustainability while maintaining the premium aesthetic that Blue Bottle Coffee is known for. The social media assets were crafted to be shareable and visually engaging, appealing to Blue Bottle’s digital-savvy audience. The billboard and print concepts utilized minimalist yet bold designs, ensuring visibility in urban spaces while aligning with the brand’s established look and feel.

This project demonstrated my ability to create a cohesive campaign that aligns with a brand’s existing identity while effectively appealing to its target audience.
